The following committees meet on a monthly basis.
One of our strengths at the Salinas Valley Chamber is building relationships with government decision-makers. The GRC meets once a month, on the third Wednesday from 11:30am-1pm at the Chamber. (RSVP to order a box lunch). We discuss and weigh in on matters affecting local businesses, focusing on policies at the city and County level. The GRC invites many guest speakers to the meetings, so it’s a fantastic way to get to know the movers-and-shakers in the area. Open to all current members of the Chamber.
BDC focuses on items that more immediately impact your local business. The BDC meets every other month, on the first Thursday from 8:30-10am at the Chamber. The City of Salinas / Planning & Building Permit Department is at this meeting for the first 45 minutes.
The BDC's focuses include working on Local First and encouraging major purchasers to adopt Local Preference policies. Open to all current members of the Chamber.
Chamber AmbassadorsThe Ambassadors are volunteers who help the Chamber accomplish its mission, while enjoying many special perks that help them market their own businesses.
